WHAT

On Saturday, the North York Women’s Centre will greet the public at an Open House being held at their new storefront location at Dufferin and Eglinton.  The Centre is celebrating the work it’s doing in the community since being approved for a $51,400 grant from the Ontario Trillium Foundation last Fall.

The funds from the Ontario Trillium Foundation are helping the Centre match programs and services to high priority needs of women in the community, work more collaboratively with other local organizations to meet these needs, and strengthen its organizational effectiveness so it can open more doors for more women in the community.

WHO

Mike Colle, MPP for Eglinton-Lawrence and a Foundation volunteer, Susan Salek, will be on hand to present the Women’s Centre’s Executive Director, Iris Fabbro, and Board Chair, Maribeth Christensen, with a plaque in recognition of their work for women in the community.
